William “Billy” Viera, 64, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, died Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono. He was the companion of Gilberto Coronado with whom he shared 24 loving years. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late Herman and Angelina (Bianco) Viera.
Billy loved his 2 beautiful children Kristi Mattina and Brian Viera unconditionally and enjoyed having them around with his grandchildren and siblings. He was quite a character, bringing a smile to all he encountered. A horror movie enthusiast, Halloween was his favorite holiday to celebrate. Billy took great pleasure in cooking for and entertaining his family and friends.
Along with his partner, he is survived by his son Brian Viera and his wife, Vanessa; daughter Kristi Mattina and her husband, Daniel; grandchildren: Juliana Viera, Christopher Viera, Nicolette Viera, Madelyn Mattina, Michael Mattina; siblings: Deanna Brosan, Joey Viera, Linda Parker, twin Eddie Viera; beloved dogs Sadie and Brady; and his dear fish: Moe, Larry, and Curly.
A celebration of life will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 11:30am to 2:30 pm at Mountainview Vineyards, 2332 Walters Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
