William J. Lebrecht

William J. Lebrecht 76 of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday Aug. 17, 2021 in the Lehigh Valley Hospice House Pocono E. Stroudsburg, Pa. He was the loving husband of Madeline (Svirbel) Lebrecht. He was the son of the late Howard and Anna (McCue) Lebrecht.

Bill was a resident of the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 17 years and prior to that he resided in the Bogota, New Jersey area. Bill was employed as a supervisor for the New York City Transit System retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg, Pa.

In addition to his wife Madeline he is survived by a sister: Lucille Yonce of West Columbia, S.C. and cousins Veronica Brincat of Palisades Park, N.J. and her grandchildren Robert Brincat and Melissa Rotondo and great grandchildren Anthony and Nancy, and Doreen Binelli & family and 3 nieces Kelly, Lisa and Chrissy.

 Bill was preceded in death by a son William Lebrecht, brother: Donald Lebrecht, half- brother Thomas Wepplar and cousin: Martha Binelli.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Aug. 20, 2021 at 10:30am from the Church of St. John 5171 Milford Rd. East Stroudsburg, Pa. with Fr. Gregory A. Reichlen as celebrant. Burial will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery.

 There will be e viewing on Thursday Aug.19, 2021 from 2-6:00pm and on Friday Aug. 20, 2021 from 9-10:00am at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc.23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360..
