Wilfredo P. Agustin

Wilfredo P. Agustin, 79, of East Stroudsburg, PA, passed away on Friday, March 28, 2025. Born in Quezon City, Philippines, he was the beloved son of Julian Roque Agustin (who passed at the age of 81 in 1995) and Cora Eva Agustin (who passed at the age of 90 in 2007). Wilfredo was the beloved husband of Angelina Paredes Agustin, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on March 8, 2025. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Middle Smithfield Township while residing 7 years in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Wilfredo dedicated 16 years of his career to San Miguel Beer in the Philippines before immigrating to the United States with his wife and children in May 1984. Settling first in Jersey City, NJ, he worked tirelessly for two decades in the banking sector, starting with First Fidelity in Newark. In his retirement, he dedicated several years to driving a school bus in Jersey City, NJ.

Wilfredo is survived by his wife, Angelina, and their three children: Arlyn Agustin and her husband, Renie Lisbo; Richard Agustin and his wife, Daisy; and Junar Agustin and his wife, Meagan. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren—Aeren, Arnie, Riana, Ariel, Chase, Riley, Cole, Bryce, Camilla, and Dexter. He also leaves behind his loving siblings, Helena Palanca and Leopoldo Agustin, and was predeceased by his parents and brothers, Melchor Agustin and Victorio Agustin.

A Catholic prayer service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The family will greet family and friends from 10:00 am until the time of the service at the funeral home.
