Timothy T. Sweeney

Timothy T. Sweeney, 65, of East Stroudsburg, PA passed away on Thursday Oct. 5, 2023.  Born in East Stroudsburg, he was the son of the late Dr. John A. and Kathleen J. (Kellner) Sweeney Jr. Tim was a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburg area except for a five year period when he lived in  Coopersburg, PA.

A graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute, Tim was employed as an Electronic Technician for many years.  He was an avid reader and great music enthusiast, a Philadelphia sports fan and served as a volunteer youth sports coach in the greater Pocono area.  He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg.

Tim is survived by his siblings Margaret Pugh (Doug); Jack Sweeney (Ardice); Noreen Sweeney; Bert Sweeney (Pat); Anne Sweeney O'Donnell; Paul Sweeney (Cathy); Mary Turley; Joan  Sweeney; Kathleen Warner; Susan Henning, as well an numerous nieces and nephews. Tim will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his many friends and family members.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 12, 2023 at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. at 23 N. 9th. St. in Stroudsburg, PA.  Friends and family may call from 3:00pm until  6:00pm, and a prayer service will be conducted at 5:00pm.
