Obituary

Thomas “Sto” Nicholas Rudeski, 84 of Tamiment passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 15 at LVHN Monroe Hospice House. He was the loving husband of Bonnie Sullivan Ahnert Rudeski for 44 years. Born in Plymouth, PA  he was the son of the late Anna Lenio Rudeski and Wasil Rudeski. At age forty he took on the challenge of becoming a father to a ready-made family of Kimara, Kevin and three year old Gregory Ahnert to be followed in 1981 by the birth of a daughter Amy Rudeski. A musician of renown he began his career in the US Air Force band in Washington DC. He was also in their Airmen of Note and concert band. After his service duty he was one of the vocal group, The Town Pipers, with Tony and Joan Costa, playing saxophone, flute and clarinet. They played the Las Vegas Strip, Lake Tahoe and some gigs on the Steve Allen Show with the likes of the Smother Brothers, Louie Nye and Andy Griffin. The group returned East to open a night club in Scranton, The Town Piper. In the late seventies when he married he headed the house band, Sto & Co, at Fernwood and later became the entertainment director. In his retirement years and to the delight of his seven grandchildren he could be seen summers at his bumper boat marina across from Fernwood.

He is survived by his children Kimara Ahnert and son Jonathan Nordlinger, son Kevin Ahnert, wife Dana, sons Matthew and Andrew Ahnert, son Gregory, wife Amy, daughters Ashley, Ella and son
