Thomas DePaolo

   Thomas "Tom" DePaolo, Sr. age 91 of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday August 12, 2025, at Spring Village Pocono East Stroudsburg, PA. He was the loving husband of Sarah (Smith) DePaolo with whom in Sept would have celebrated 69 years of marriage. Born in Roseto, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Leonard and Jennie DePaolo.

Tom was a resident of the East Stroudsburg area for the past 56 years and prior to that he resided in the Bangor, PA area. In his early years he worked in the Construction Business and later in the Maintenance department for East Stroudsburg University. Tom was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg, PA and was an Army veteran. He was active with The Italin Mutual Benefit Association, The Fraternal Order of Eagles; and the Verizon Telephone Pioneers.

  In addition to his wife Sarah, he is survived by a son: Thomas DePaolo of Norristown, PA; daughter: Gina Hennings of East Stroudsburg, PA, grandchildren Michael Hennings and his wife, Nicole; Sarah Wilson and her husband, Kennard, great grandchildren: Teaguen, Lylee and Stella and several nieces and nephews.

  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August 19, 2025, at 10:00am at St. Matthews Catholic Church 78 Ridgeway St. East Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until the time of the mass at the church. Memorial donations can be made to St. Matthews Church. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, PA is in  charge of the arrangements.
