Thomas "Tom" Conners Anthony, 93, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Monday, April 29, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospice in Allentown. He was the widower of the late Anne Marie (Newburg) Anthony with whom he shared 45 years of marriage prior to her passing. Born in Watertown, New York, he was a son of the late Francis and Ursla (Conners) Anthony.
Tom proudly served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. He had a long career as a motor carrier salesman and was a member of the Raritan Traffic Club in New Jersey, serving as President in the 1970’s. Tom had second career with the Pennsylvania Liquor Authority for over ten years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in New Jersey, and a member of St. Luke’s Church Roman Catholic Church in Stroudsburg. Tom and Anne moved from the Bronx, New York to Old Bridge, New Jersey, in the early 1960's where they raised their four daughters until they relocated to East Stroudsburg in the late 1980’s.
Thomas is survived by his daughters: Ann Marie Anthony Beaupre and her husband, John; Theresa Caruana and her husband, William; Laura Lohe and her husband John, Carolyn Anthony Moyer and her husband, John; grandchildren: Anthony Caruana, John Beaupre and his partner Houston Hagman, Sara Beaupre and her partner Bobby Kuczynski, Megan Martinez and her husband Felix, Rhys Moyer, Liam Moyer, Katlyn Lohe, John Lohe, a brother Robert Anthony. Tom was preceded in death by a sister Rita Schneider and a brother Joseph Anthony.
There will be a viewing on Tuesday April 30, 2024 from 3-5:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. Fr. Michael Quinnan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM at The Church of St. Luke, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Burial will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Stroudsburg Cemetery with military honors.
