Sharie O. Zumaeta

Sharie O. Zumaeta, 39, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg.  She was the wife of Jean Zumaeta with whom she shared nine years of companionship. Born in Queens, New York, she was a daughter to Martha Rodriguez of New York and the late Ernesto Avila. 

Sharie worked in emergency medical services with FDNY prior to moving to the Poconos.  She then dedicated her life to raising and taking care of her children. 

Along with her husband and mother, she is survived by her son Shea Zumaeta; stepchildren: Katerine, Brianna, and Peter Zumaeta.  Sister, Fianna Avila and brother Jonathan Avila.

Private services for the family will take place at a later date.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
