Sarah C. Bogart, 80, of Henryville, Pennsylvania died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Randall and Betty Angle.
Sara worked as the head housekeeper for the former Glenwood in Delaware Water Gap and also as sales clerk at Weis Supermarkets. She was a member of The Stroudsburg Wesleyan Church.
Sara cherished her family time, especially with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Oftentimes, she could be found sitting on her front porch watching the birds and animals come through her front yard or socializing with her neighbors. Sara liked to watch football and cheer on her beloved Eagles.
Sara is survived by her children: Mary Dennard and her husband, Daniel, of Henryville, PA; Charlie Bogart and his wife, Charlene, of Mt. Bethel, PA; son in law, Todd Ayers of East Stroudsburg, PA; Sarah Dennard and her husband, Joe Dennard of East Stroudsburg, PA; George Bogart of East Stroudsburg, PA; siblings: James A. Hines of Pen Argyl, PA; Wilma Transue and her husband, Donald of Sciota, PA; Sharon Bogart and her husband, Howard, of East Stroudsburg, PA; 21 grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Along with her parents; she was preceded in death by her daughter Hilda Ayers; sisters: Georgianna Cornett; and Virginia Rosencrantz brothers in law William Hines; John Cornett; and Fred Rosencrantz.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
