Roger C. Stephens Sr. passed away on April 18, 2026 after a life of service to his country, his community, and his family. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked in construction before beginning a 30+ year career with the Ringwood Board of Education, where he retired. He lived for many years in Hewitt, New Jersey, before moving to Pennsylvania. Roger is survived by his six children: Roger Jr. (Tiffany), Frank, Charlotte (David), Elizabeth (Christopher), Dana (Robert), and Scott (Becky). He was the beloved “Pop-pop” to his 17 grandchildren: Leah, Alishia, Britney, Tiffany, Roger III, Katherine, Michael, Scott, Melissa, Heidi, Diamond, Robert, Roberta, Angel, Madison, Declan, and Tyler, and was blessed with many great-grandchildren. Roger is preceded in death by his mother, father, siblings, and beloved granddaugter Britney. He is survived by his twin brother, Raymond. A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW in East Stroudsburg, PA on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
