Roberto Atiles

Roberto Atiles, 69, of Scotrun, Pennsylvania, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Pocono in East Stroudsburg.  Born in Camuy, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Francisco and Felipa Atiles.

   Roberto was residing in the Scotrun area for the past 25 years. He was employed at the New York City Sanitation Department for many years. He was of the catholic faith attending St. Matthews Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg, PA.

  Roberto is survived by his 4 daughters: Vivian Quinones of Trenton, N.J., Tania Atiles and Bianka Atiles both of Hudson, New York and Kristal Atiles of Hillsdale, New York, his siblings: Jesus, Gloria, Maria, Anapolio, Anastacio, Aida, Angel and Carmen Iris and 12 grandchildren: Nefatina Burgess, Dwayne Shook Jr., Nazia Lauture, Nylaa Ramos, Javier Gomez Jr., Raziel Almstead, Elija Gomez, Xavier Gomez, Elleanna Febus, Lia Gonzalez, Isabel Gonzalez and Aura Feliciano and 6 great grandchildren: Zamarah Shook, Annalise Shook, Zeylah Welch, Ezekiel Shook, Adora Abreu and Zylena Welch.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday July 10, 2026, at 1:00pm at St. Matthews Catholic Church with Fr. Sergio Pamplona as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:30am until 12:30pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360
