Robert W. Rice, Jr.

Robert “Bobby” W. Rice, Jr, 51, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Monday, August 28, 2023.  He was the loving husband of Jennifer (Brooks) Rice with whom he shared 14 years of marriage.  Born in Easton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Robert, Sr. and Susan (Jones) Rice of Palmer Township.

Bobby was a selfless person who would do anything to help anyone.  Early in life, he worked with his father at their company, B & B Flooring.  Later, he was a letter carrier and then moved to retail, first at Pier 1, then Home Goods where he moved up to merchandise coordinator.  He had a passion for decorating and was working towards his degree in interior design.  Bobby tended to his community garden along Crystal Street with his children.  He enjoyed redesigning and tending to the garden landscaping at their home, keeping it meticulous and beautiful.  He was a devoted father and could often be found cheering on his children in marching band during football games, attending various school events, or playing outside in the yard with them.

Along with his parents and his wife, Bobby is survived by his daughter; Lorynne Paul; sons: Nolyn Rice, Loghyn Rice, and Korbyn Rice all of East Stroudsburg.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, Pennsylania 18360. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to the time of service.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc.
