Robert A. Lundy, 83, of Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday March 7, 2026.  Born in Branchville, Virginia, he was the son of Robert W. and Essie (Person) Lundy.

Robert played an important role in the music world during the early 1980s as the manager of the legendary Force MDs, a pioneering R&B/hip-hop group from Staten Island whose core members included three of his sons and his nephew. Following the group’s early success, Robert and his sons decided to leave New York and settle in the Pocono Mountains, where they purchased homes and built a new chapter of their lives.

Robert resided in the Tobyhanna area for the past 35 years. After transitioning from the music industry, he dedicated many years of service to his community as a bus driver for the Pocono Mountain School District. He later continued his work as a driver for Trans-Bridge Lines, where he was known for his reliability and steady presence.

He is survived by his wife Donna M. (Glynn) Lundy,  former wife of 30 years, Molly Lanier, and his seven children: Steven Lundy of Douglasville, GA; Rodney Lundy and wife Lisa of Wind Gap, PA; Melvin Lundy of Scranton, PA; Wanda Kennedy of Augusta, GA; Gwendolyn Boyd and husband Joshua of Charlotte, NC; Felicia Lundy of Powder Springs, GA;  Selena Lundy of Tobyhanna, PA; 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and 9 siblings. Robert was preceded in death by a son Antoine M. Lundy.
