Robert B. LeBar 72 of Reeders, Pa. passed away on Thursday July 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in East Stroudsburg, Pa. he was the son of Ronald and Lula (Getz) LeBar. Bob was a life long resident of the Stroudsburg area graduating from Stroudsburg High School Class of 1967 having been a member of the Stroudsburg Football Squad.
Bob worked as a press foreman at the Pocono Record in Stroudsburg for 43 years until 2013 and then became head of maintenance at Msgr. McHugh Elementary School in Cresco from 2013 until 2020. He was presently working at the Notre Dame High School in E. Stroudsburg, Pa.
Bob was a life member of the Stroud Twp. Vol Fire Department and was assistant chief for many years. He was member and president of the Jackson Twp. Vol. Fire Department for the past 6 years and was Lt. with the Fire Police for many years. Bob was also a member of the Northeast Bass Club and was an army veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his wife Joanne he is survived by a son Allan LeBar and his wife Deborah of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., 3 step children: Sig Markowski and his companion Missy of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., Anthony Markowski and his wife Sara of Gilbert and Elena Gupko and her husband Chris of Neola, Pa., 9 grandchildren: Autumn, Allison, Alex, Nicholas, Jacob, Stephanie, Zachary, Anna and Hunter; 3 great grandchildren: Spencer, Aubrianna and Scarlet and a sister Lynda Miller of Neola. Bob was preceded in death by a sister Bette Bush of Stroudsburg, Pa.
Funeral services will be held on Monday July 19, 2021 at 12:00noon at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. with Rev. Margie Good officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Prospect Cemetery E. Stroudsburg, Pa. The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 12:00noon on Monday Jul 19, 2012 until the time of the services at the funeral home.
