In Loving Memory of Robert E Gustofson
March 21, 1972 – January 13, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bob Gustofson after a hard fought 10-month battle with cancer. He was a devoted father, proud Air Force veteran, and a friend to all, who was taken from us far too soon.
Raised in Ogdensburg, Bob carried a spirit of service and excellence throughout his life. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, where he cultivated a lifelong discipline and a "can-do" attitude that defined everything he touched.
Beyond his service, Bob was a true craftsman. Whether he was under the hood of a car, framing a new project, or "building anything" from scratch, his hands were rarely still. He possessed the rare ability to fix what was broken and create beauty where there was none. When he wasn't in the garage or at a job site, he found his peace on the water. Some of his happiest moments were spent on his boat, fishing rod in hand, enjoying the quiet rhythm of the lake.
Above all his hobbies and achievements, Bob’s greatest pride and deepest love were his children, Ashley (Stephen) and Eric of Easton, PA. He was their biggest supporter, their teacher, and their rock. He lived his life with an open heart and an open door, always the first to show up for anyone—friend or stranger—who needed a helping hand.
He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness, and an adventurous spirit that will be sorely missed by his family, his fellow veterans, and the many friends whose lives he touched.
There will be no services. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
