Richard Walsh, age 60, died on Friday, July 29, 2022 after a long-fought battle. He resided in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, but he lived in Maspeth, Queens, New York for most of his life. He was the loving husband of Fiona Walsh with whom he shared 25 years of marriage.
Born in Ballymahon, Ireland, he was a son of Edward and Mary Anne (Leavy) Walsh.
Richard had his own contracting business for many years. He had a great sense of humor, was sometimes sarcastic, but always a prankster and the life of the party. He enjoyed playing golf and a good game of pool, but mostly he loved his family and friends. Just as he dealt with all experiences in life,
Richard managed his illness with strength and grace. His kind-heartedness was apparent to everyone around him.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters: Tara and Kelly Walsh; beloved dog: Bailey; brothers: Eddie Walsh and his wife, Angela, PJ Walsh, Frank Walsh; sisters: Kathleen Lennon, Anne Walsh, Mary Walsh, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Walsh.
