Richard Sekaz

Richard V. Sekaz, 85, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at home with his family by his side.  He was the widower of Arlene (Potter) Sekaz.  They shared over 38 loving years of marriage prior to her passing in 1998.  Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was a son of the late John and Marie (Pautz) Sekaz.

Richard was employed as a banker and enjoyed crunching numbers.  Together with his wife, they meticulously tended to their lawn in their home in Long Island.  He moved to the Pocono area after his retirement where he still appreciated gardening and his quiet time sitting on the porch.

He is survived by his sons: Robert Sekaz and his wife, Michelle; Stephen Sekaz and his wife, Laura; grandchildren: Alexandra, Kayla, Kyle, Connor, Stephanie, and Sherry Sekaz; Staci Sekaz-Evanhouse and her husband, Benjamin; great grandchildren: Mila, Nathaniel, Josie; and brother Gary Sekaz and his wife Paula.

There will be no services at this time.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
