Pauline “Paula” Herman, 91, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at St. Luke’s Hospital-Fountain Hill in Bethlehem. She was the widow of the late David Herman with whom she shared 54 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2011. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Grace Marotta.
Paula resided in the Stroudsburg area since 1967. Along with her husband, they owned and operated Howell’s Flower Shop in East Stroudsburg.
Paula is survived by her son: David Herman, Jr. and his wife, Cheryl; granddaughters: Emily & Gracie; their beloved dog, Lucy and several dear friends.
There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM, at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Luke, 801 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 with Fr. Michael Quinnan presiding. Burial will follow at the Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg after mass.
