Paul Mills Rogers, 87, of Stroud Township passed away peacefully after a short illness at LHVH-Pocono. He was the loving husband of Charlene Rogers with whom he celebrated 26 years of marriage. Born in Salisbury, Vermont to the late Lloyd William and Beatrice Flora (Dennis) Rogers. Paul was a veteran having services in the US Marine Corps and discharged as a Corporal, receiving the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 27 years and prior to that he resided in the Dingmans Ferry, Pa. area. In his early years he worked as a farmer and later as a truck driver and for 15 years he drove school bus for the East Stroudsburg Area School District.
In addition to his wife, Charlene, he is survived by 5 daughters and 2 step daughters Kathy Taler (Jan), Anne Hollows (William) Betsy Swanson (David), Wendy Van Dyne (friend Keith), Nancy Rembert (Thomas), 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, Jennene Stang (Step daughter) and Colette Trail (Step daughter), 3 step grandsons and a beloved step granddaughter, Ashtyn Stang Richey- they had a very special bond with each other.
A private cremation will be provided by Joseph J Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Final interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery Annville, Pa.
