Patricia M. Stossel

Patricia “Pat” Stossel, 82, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Monday, February 19, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospice House in East Stroudsburg surrounded by her loving family.  She was the widow of the late Edward Stossel with whom she had shared almost 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2022.  Born in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter to the late Michael and Theresa (Kocik) Most.

Pat was employed as an accounts manager in investments at Wachovia Bank during her working career.  She was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in East Stroudsburg where she was extremely active, serving as lector, eucharistic minister, adult altar server for funerals, and volunteer in the Parish office.  Pat was also an avid exerciser. She was a kind and loving woman with a contagious smile.  She made an impact on everyone she came in contact with.

Pat is survived by her son, Michael Stossel and his wife, Jennifer of East Stroudsburg; daughter Debra Bowlby and her husband, Jonathan of Phillipsburg, N.J; grandchildren: Ashley Gilliland (Leif), Alyson Cole, Amanda Dickison (Jonathan), Nickolas Stossel and Kimberly Stossel.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Theresa Stossel, siblings: Victor Most, Mary Smith, Agnes Leslie, Elizabeth Most and Margaret Rouse.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Luke, 818 Main Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 with Father Donald J. Williams as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.  There will be a viewing on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
