Oliver T. Tookes

     Oliver T. Tookes, 74, of Albrightsville, Pa. passed away on Monday Sept. 25, 2023, at his home. Born in Shreveport. Louisiana he was the son of Willie and Minnie Tookes. Oliver was a resident of the Albrightsville area for the past 18 years and prior to that he resided in the Staten Island, New York area. He was employed as the head gardener for the Port Authority for the state of New Jersey and New York for many years until his retirement. He was a Vietnam War veteran having served with the Marines.

 He is survived by his children:  Nickol Todd and Andrey Tookes; two grandchildren; dear friend of over 30 years, Carolyn Spence; sisters: Alice Cooper and Mary Jane Holman, as well as many nieces and nephews.

  There will be a memorial service on Saturday Sept. 30, 2023, at 4:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 3 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. The family will receive friends from 3:00pm until the time of the services at the funeral home.
