Nitza Gomez

Nitza Gomez, 84, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at home with her husband by her side. She was the loving wife of David Gomez with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Frolain and Mary Ramirez.

Nitza worked at ASCAP in New York City prior to retiring.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her children: Mary Ann Gill and her husband, Brian of Stroudsburg, PA; Alexander Gomez and his wife, Deserie, of East Stroudsburg, PA; grandchildren: Jessica, Amanda, Justin, Dylan; sisters: Mary, Olga, and Sonia; and brother Frolain She was preceded in death by her brothers Louie and Orlando.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 11:00AM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Family will receive friends from 10:00AM to the time of service at the funeral home.
