Mukesh J. Mehta

Dr. Mukesh J. Mehta, 72, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Saturday, October 12, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem.  He was the loving husband of Rekha Mehta with whom he shared almost 45 years of marriage.  Born in Ahmedabad, India, he was the son of the late Jayantilal and Kusum Mehta.

Dr. Mehta came to the United States in 1975 where he worked as a general and vascular surgeon in hospitals in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  He was a selfless man who was kind and giving to all he knew.  He loved surrounding himself with family and friends and just enjoyed seeing others happy and laughing. While he held many titles over the years, Bapu was the most cherished one. Bapu enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and dressing up as Santa every year.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Amee Mehta (Nitin Mohan), Ankur Mehta; grandchildren: Swara and Aivan Mohan and siblings: Tushar (Harsha) Mehta and Ambrish (Jagruti) Mehta

A private service will be held for the family.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9thStreet, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. The family requests no flowers or gifts be sent.
