Mirta Mabel Stigliano

Mirta Mabel Stigliano, 79, beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister and grandmother passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina to the late Dario and Rosario Pareno.  There she met the love of her life Alfred.  They emigrated to Elizabeth, New Jersey, where they raised their beautiful family.  Prior to retirement, they settled in Price, Pennsylvania.

Mirta worked as a seamstress for many years.  Her creativity was prolific from sewing, knitting, painting to cooking.  Her family all have special memories of receiving handmade gifts from her.

Mirta was predeceased by her loving daughter, Shirley Poyer.

Mirta is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Alfred Stigliano.  Her sons Hernan (Maria) Stigliano, Flavio (Sophie) Stigliano, and her son-in-law Brian Poyer.  Also survived by her adoring grandchildren Brielle, Andrew (Caity), Alex Stigliano, Zane and Mason Poyer and Elisa Stigliano.

A private service will be held at Saint Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, New Jersey at a later date. Private cremation was entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
