Miloslav "Milo" Dzurenda Obituary

Miloslav "Milo" Dzurenda, 57, of Mount Pocono, died Friday, April 15, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospital in Bartonsville.

Born in Levoca, Czechoslovakia, he was the son of the late Stefan and Katarina (Platnicova) Dzurenda.

Milo worked as a contractor earlier in life then later pursued his passion for cards and worked at Mount Airy Casino as a poker dealer.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, skiing, and playing volleyball.  Milo also enjoyed playing his guitar or watching a hockey game.

He is survived by his son; Michal Dzurenda and his wife, Oksana Gulavska of Landing, New Jersey; daughter, Elizabeth Ryder and her husband, Craig, of Massapequa, New York; and his grandchildren Craig, Jr. and Emma Ryder.

Milo wanted to be remembered as he was in life. Respecting his decision, the family has decided not to have a viewing.  There will be a visitation on Saturday, April 23 from 12 - 1 pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A memorial service will take place at 1 pm.
