Michael W. Dwyer, age 30, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on July 28, 2025 surrounded by his family and friends after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Michael faced his illness with unwavering strength, grace, and the same selflessness he brought to every moment of his life.
Michael touched the lives of everyone he met. His kindness, compassion, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on family, friends, and even the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who walked alongside him in his journey. He had an extraordinary ability to make others feel seen, heard, and valued—always putting the needs and feelings of others before his own.
A devoted father, son, brother, and friend, Michael found his greatest joy in spending time with his beloved son, Mikey. Whether it was cheering on the Yankees together, playing video games or simply enjoying quiet moments at home, Mikey was the center of Michael’s world and the light of his life. Michael was a passionate New York Yankees fan and loved all things baseball. He also took pride in caring for his freshwater fish, finding peace and joy in the simple routine of tending to his aquarium. Those who knew him will forever remember his quick wit, his generous heart, and his ability to bring warmth and laughter to any room. Michael is survived by his cherished son Mikey; his parents, Michael J. and Kathleen M. Dwyer; his sister Jennifer Dwyer and her partner Eric Becker; his brother Brian Dwyer; his sister Megan Koch and her husband Noah Koch; his maternal grandmother Ellen Clarke; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews,
dear friends, and his beloved dogs, Maggie and Lucy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William Clarke, and Martin and Mary Dwyer, along with his beloved dog, Scooby.
Though gone far too soon, Michael’s impact on the world around him is immeasurable. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will continue to live on through all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
