Matilde Granados was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She came to New York in 1948. Matilde worked hard to help support her mother and siblings who were living in Puerto Rico.

Matilde met Virgilio Granados, and they were married on September 14, 1950. Together, they had four children: Virgilio Jr., Evelyn, Zoraida, and Ramon.

Matilde was a devoted homemaker who took loving care of her husband and children. Her family was very important to her.

Matilde leaves us to join her husband, family, and friends who passed before her. She will always be lovingly remembered by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

May the Lord receive her with open arms.

Funeral services will be held on Friday Aug. 21, 2026, at 7:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9 th . St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. Graveside services and burial will be on Saturday Aug. 22, 2026 at 10:00am in the Prospect Cemetery E. Stroudsburg, Pa. The family will receive friends from 5-8:00pm on Friday Aug. 21, 2026, at the funeral home.
