Mary Veltre

Mary Veltre, 69, of Tamiment, Pennsylvania passed away Saturday, December 21, 2024, in her home.  Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Samuel "Sailor Sam" and Helen (Maroney) Schumatti.  She was predeceased by her only sibling Theresa Moyer who passed in 1995 and nephew Michael Moyer who passed in 2022.

Mary worked as an office clerk for Toll Brothers until she retired.  She also worked with pregnant women at the Shepherd's Maternity House which aligned with her Catholic faith.   She loved to laugh and enjoyed making you laugh 

She is survived by her niece Kathleen Denner of Holyoke, MA., dear friend and daughter in spirit, Julie Clark, her life-long best friend Robert Heath and close friend Candy Dan.

Donations can be made to the Shepard's Maternity House 300 Wyoming Avenue Scranton, PA 18503.

There will be no services at this time.  Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
