Mark Emmons Obituary

Mark A. Emmons of Stroudsburg, P.A., died Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at
his home with his family by his side. He was a wonderful husband for 42 years to
Deborah (Heise) Emmons. Born in Binghamton, N.Y., he was the son of William H.
Emmons and the late Joyce K. (Dobson) Emmons.

Mark grew up in Pine Brook, N.J., then moved to Denville where he raised his
family. He learned the trade and worked as a Boiler Maker for Alpha Combustion
Corp., eventually owning and running the business. He was respected by many in
the industry for his talent and work ethic and he took a lot of pride in doing things
right. Upon retirement he moved to the Poconos. He loved his house & long
dreamed of garage.

Mark loved family, motorcycles, his family cottage at East Lake, music and
animals. Quick wit and humor made any gathering memorable. He was “One of
a Kind.”
In 2019, he fulfilled his dream and took the ride of a lifetime out West. He rode
his Goldwing over 12,000 miles, 40 plus days, visiting numerous National Parks
and marveling at God’s handiwork.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son; David Heise Emmons and his wife,
Julie Schoenlank; daughter Rachel Lee Fenn and her husband, Rick; grandchildren
Owen William and Hayden Marie; sister Beth Emmons and beloved beagle, Ivy.
He was preceded in death by his brothers; David and Jeffrey Emmons and grand-
