Maria Balanescu

Maria Balanescu, 75, of East Stroudsburg passed away Thursday, July 29, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Maria was born in București, Romania. She was the wife of Constantin Balanescu with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Maria was of the Catholic faith. She was a homemaker for most of her life. Maria has resided in the East Stroudsburg area for the past 2 years and prior to that in Flushing, NY.

Maria is survived by her sons; Andrei Belanescu and companion Gracianna Dieppa of East Stroudsburg, and Garbreil Balanescu of Flushing, NY. She is also survived by grandchildren; Andrei Balanescu and Gabrilla Balanescu, as well as a brother; Titi Pentui of Romania.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 10-10:45AM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke’s Catholic Church 818 Main St, Stroudsburg, PA 18360 at 11AM with Fr. Michael F. Quinnan as celebrant. Burial will follow in Stroudsburg Cemetery.
