Leroy Herring

Leroy Herring, 80, of East Stroudsburg passed away Friday, June 11, 2021 at The Gardens at Stroud. Born in Dillon, S.C. he was the son of the late Daniel and Georgia Lee (Blackwell) Herring. Leroy was the husband of Loretta M. (Young) Herring, with whom he has celebrated 55 years and 8 months of marriage.

Leroy was of the Catholic faith and a member of Our Lady Of Victory Catholic Church. He had resided in the East Stroudsburg area for the past 44 years, and prior to that in Boonton, NJ. He was employed as a chemical operator for NORDA Chemical Co. for 22 years, later working maintenance for the Pokony Relay Co.

In addition to his wife, Leroy is survived by his children; Lee John Herring and wife Kim of Vineland, NJ, Glenn Michael Herring of Pocono Twp, and Jason Patrick Herring and wife Robin of Canadensis. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Austin, Sean, Kylee, Rebecca, Logan, Colin, and Keira.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5-7pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc. 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 11am, with a viewing starting at 10am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Rd, Tannersville, PA 18372. Burial will follow at Stroudsburg Cemetery.
