Leon Thomas, 88, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his dear friends. Born in Jamaica, he was the son of the late Nilon and Gladys Thomas.
Leon was a member of Faith International Church in East Stroudsburg. He was a great man of wisdom and a strong man of God. Leon was always speaking of God and could recite scripture so eloquently. When he wasn’t immersed in a book, he enjoyed working outdoors. He liked to maintain his home and work in his garden. Leon was always private and reserved; however, if he had something to say to you, there was no doubt you would be listening.
He is survived by his sons: Paul & Lincoln Thomas; daughters in-law: Almorine & Evelina Thomas; six grandchildren: Leon, Dion, Renae, Stephanie, Francine, Zadia Thomas, brother: Reginald Thomas, his Faith International Church family and a host of great neighbors and friends.
There will be a prayer service on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Faith International Church, 530 Seven Bridge Road, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to the time of service. Entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
