Lawrence M. Toma

  Lawrence “Larry” M. Toma 92 of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Thursday April 28, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the widower of Mary L. (Corrao) Toma. Born in the Bronx, New York he was the son of Giuseppe and Elvira (Lavanti) Toma.

  Larry was a resident of the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 24 years and prior to that he resided in the Whitestone Queens, New York area. Larry worked as an Insurance Broker for many years. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg and he was an army veteran having served in the Korean War.

  He is survived by 2 sons: Lawrence M. Tom Jr. and his wife Yvette of Bayou Vista, Texas and Joseph L. Toma of E. Stroudsburg, Pa. , 5 grandchildren: Shawn, Josette, Lauren, Cira and Tomi and 2 great grandchildren: Gabriella and Sterling Lawrence.

  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday May 2, 2022 at 10:30am from St. Luke’s Catholic Church 818 Main St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360. The family will receive friends from 9:30am until the time of the Mass at the church. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St.Stroudsburg, Pa. is in charge of the arrangements.
