   Lawrence “Larry” P. Olivet 84 of Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Wednesday March 31, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Dr. Rosemarie E. (Lehman) Olivet with whom he would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in August of this year.

 Born in the Bronx, New York, he was the son of Erasmus and Ann Olivet. Larry was residing in the Stroudsburg area for the past 10 years and prior to that he resided in the Mendham, New Jersey area and Patchogue, Long Island area. He was a Police Officer with the Suffolk Police Department for 10 years and he also ran a nursing home in the Mendham, New Jersey area for several years. Larry was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg and he was a former of the Knights of Columbus and an army veteran.

 In addition to his wife Dr. Rosemarie he is survived by 2 daughters: Renee Hipple and her husband Anthony of Blairstown, N.J. and Kim Markou and her husband Theodore of Tannersville, Pa. and 4 grandchildren: Dr. Natasha Chase and her husband Edward Hoffman, Dr. Jordan Chase, Henry Harman and George Markou.

A Memorial Mass for Larry will be announced at a later date and time. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St. Stroudsburg, Pa. is in charge of the arrangements.
