Laurence M. “Tex” Monterrubio III, 49y, resident of Bangor, died in his sleep on Sept 2, 2021. He has deep roots in the Lehigh Valley, as well as Texas. Born the son of E.Denise Smith (deceased) and Lawrence M. Monterrubio Sr. of Texas. Tex graduated from Pleasant Valley High School ’91, US Navy ’92, Diesel Mechanics Trade School ’94, and was the Owner/Operator of Lehigh Valley Roadside, LLC.

In addition to his father, He is survived by his son, Austin Seawood and family of Effort, PA; sister Amy Wiltenburg and family of Houston, TX; brother Andres Monterrubio and family of Houston, TX; step-dad Jon Matson of Easton, PA; companion Carmen Rivera and family of Bangor, PA; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large network of friends across the US. Tex was a member of the VFW, enjoys Sailing, playing Billiards, Fall Bonfires, Outings, Traveling, and was a Grill Master. He was also an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Penn State football teams.

Join us to honor Tex in a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 25, 6-10p at Liberty Firehouse located at 67 North Eighth Street, Bangor. Light refreshments will be provided. Cash bar only. * A second Memorial will be held in Texas, details will be shared in the coming weeks.
