Kenneth K. Mahai, Sr., 70, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania where he resided for the past 24 years. He was the loving husband of Denore F. Ellam Mahai. He was born in New York, New York to Bernice Newland Mahai and the late William Mahai.
Kenny was retired from the New York City Department of Corrections. He was an avid CD and movie collector and loved his jazz music. He enjoyed playing paintball, white water rafting, camping, and hosting his famous Big Bash BBQs at his home. He also had a passion for animals and loved his dogs, the late Biggie, Sheena and Cookie.
In addition to his wife, mother and sister, Lucille Mahai, he is survived by his children, Renelle N. Mahai, Kenneth K. Mahai, Jr. and Reyana Brantley, and by many loving family members and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Family and friends to be received from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. with the memorial service to begin at 3:00 p.m.
