Kenneth “Ken” T. Bushby, 84, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the Lehigh Valley Hospice House in East Stroudsburg. He was the loving husband of Irene Bushby with whom he shared almost 50 years of marriage. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Thomas E. and Josephine E. Bushby.
Ken, Kenny, even Kennedy to those who cared for him, was a kind, gentle, and loving man. Everyone he met loved him and he got along with everyone he came across. A talented musician, he played both the trumpet and guitar, proudly having marched in the Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City with his music. A graduate of the Arthur Murray Dance Studio, he was an excellent ballroom dancer. Ken also enjoyed golfing and downhill skiing and was a lover of all animals. He proudly served our county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an exceptional man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his sister: Pamala Boyd; and many dear friends he made throughout his lifetime.
A funeral service with full military honors will take place on Thursday, June 18 at 12:00 PM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his honor to the ASPCA.
