Kathryn Capobianco Obituary

Kathryn Capobianco, 79, of Bushkill, Pennsylvania, died Thursday, November 28, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  She was the loving wife of James Capobianco with whom she shared over 50 years of marriage.  Born in Staten Island, New York, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Lucille Granito.

Kathryn was a devoted wife and mother, always ensuring that her family was taken care of.  She enjoyed arts and crafts.  You could often find Kathryn doing crossword puzzles or painting. She was a great cook and appreciated gardening.  Growing up, she worked at her family’s deli in Staten Island.

Along with her husband, she is survived by her sons: Nicholas Capobianco and his wife, Lauren; Richard Capobianco and his wife, Kristen; grandchildren: Nicholas, Jr., Elena, Anna, Celia, Richard, Jr.; and brother Ralph Granito, Jr.

Fr. Gregory Reichlan will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:30 am at the Church of St. John, 5171 Milford Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302.  There will be a visitation on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.  Burial will follow the mass at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
