Joseph E. Talocka

Joseph “Joe” E. Talocka 88, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania passed away on Saturday August 22, 2026, at his home. He was the widower of Mary (Wolf) Talocka who died in March of 2020. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Edward and Helen Talocka.

Joe was residing in the Stroudsburg, PA area for the past 40 years and prior to that of High Bridge, NJ.  He was employed as a newspaper pressman for many years and he was an army veteran of the Korean War. Joe was very active in the Knights of Columbus being a 4th Degree Knight, past District Deputy, Navigator and Grand Knight. Joe was also very active in the New Jersey Scouting, especially in Whitehouse Station and High Bridge, NJ. Joe and his wife, Mary, loved camping and being outside. They loved hearing from their grandchildren and being great-grandparents.

Joe is survived by his children: Thomas Talocka of Princeton, N.J., Ronald Talocka and his wife Gaelyn of Parkland, Fl., Daniel Talocka of N.C., and Catherine Kelly of CA., 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday August 27, 2026, at 10:30am at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church Cherry Lane Rd. Tannersville, PA 18370, with Fr. Richard E. Czachor as celebrant. Burial with military honors will be at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery East Hanover, NJ at 1:15pm. The Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N 9th St. Stroudsburg, PA is in charge of the arrangements.
