Joseph J. Galan

Joseph “Joe” J. Galan, 76, of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Friday, December 19, 2025, at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Allentown.  He was the loving husband of Rosemary Galan with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. Born in Rockville Centre, New York, he was the son of the late Arthur and Katherine Galan.

Joe was a retired business owner in the Poconos. Together with his wife, Rosemary and their two sons, Joe and Kris, they moved to the Poconos in 1982. Prior to that, they lived in Uniondale, New York. He was a member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his sons: Joseph J. Galan, Jr and his wife, Lorien of Kinnelon, NJ; Kris Galan and his wife, Suet Mun Cheow of Stroudsburg, PA; granddaughter Neve; and siblings: Arthur Galan; Katherine Poore.

A prayer service will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, at 7:30 PM at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
