Jose R. Albuja

        Jose R. Albuja 75 of Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Sunday June 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Maria (Franco) Albuja with whom he had celebrated 55 years of marriage. Born in Manta, Ecuador he was the son of Alejandro and Maria (Ancaundia) Albuja.

  Jose was a resident of the Stroudsburg area for the past 18 years. He was employed as a maintenance assistant for many years, and he was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in E. Stroudsburg, Pa.

 In addition to his wife Maria, he is survived by his children: Jose R. Albuja, Carlos Albuja and Jose A. Albuja, 7 grandchildren: Maria Jose, Carlos, Christian, Stephanie, Joyce, Maria Angelica and Ricardo and several brother and sisters.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 22, 2024 at 9:30am from St. Matthews Catholic Church 78 Ridgeway St. E. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18301. Burial will follow in the Stroudsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday June 21, 2024 from 4-7:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th. St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360
