John Peter Petruzzi

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John "Peter" Petruzzi, 65, of Henryville, Pennsylvania.  He passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2024.  He was born in Conegliano, Italy and raised in Bronx, New York.

Peter was the beloved son and best friend of his late mother, Vera "Vanda" Petruzzi Setari and step-father, Toni Setari, now together again.  Dearly loved grandson, son, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, neighbor, his deep belly laugh will be missed.

Peter retired from the New York City transit and decided to skip on out of the busy city to enjoy nature and rural life in Tannersville, Pennsylvania providing a loving home and care to his mom.  He was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.  Peter loved to cook at home and for the church. He was a charitable human and loyal to his family and friends.

There will be a viewing on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.  Father Richard Czachor will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 10:30 am at Our Lady of Victory Church, 327 Cherry Lane Road, Tannersville, PA 18372.  Family will receive friends from 10:00 am to the time of mass at the church.
