Joel Hahn

Joel E. Hahn, 89, of Stroudsburg, PA. passed away on Friday March 3, 2023. He was the loving husband of Nancy L. (Hartman) Hahn with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage. Born in East Stroudsburg, PA. he was a son of the late Clyde R. and Gwennie (Bellis) Hahn.

Joel was a lifelong resident of the Hamilton Twp. area, and a member of the Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church. He was also a Marine veteran having served during the Korean War.

Joel started his career at the McGraw Edison Co. of E. Stroudsburg, PA. and in 1979 he and his wife purchased and operated the Mt. Pocono Beverage Co. in Mt. Pocono until 1991. He then became a real estate developer in Monroe County until his retirement. Joel’s hobbies included genealogy and ornithology, but his biggest passions were his family and friends.

In addition to his wife Nancy, he is survived by a son Jeffrey D. Hahn and his wife Jamie (Dinner), and a daughter Lynn A. Hahn all of Stroudsburg, PA, 2 adored grandchildren: Katelyn L. and Matthew D. Hahn, a sister Mary Sharer of Saylorsburg, PA, and many nieces and nephews and grand kitties. Joel was preceded in death by two brothers, Frederick Hahn and Clyde Hahn and a sister Delores Everett.

Private cremation services were provided by the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N. 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA. Burial of his ashes will be in the Stroudsburg Cemetery and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
