Jean J Vito Wiesmeth peacefully transitioned due to a short-term illness on December 12th. On September 6, 1939, Jean was born to Fanny and Salvatore Vito in Nutley, New Jersey the youngest of three with Emmanuel and Lena being her older siblings. Growing up she loved dance and was very proud to be the lead in all of her recitals. She met and fell in love with John S Wiesmeth from Bloomfield, New Jersey, who happened to be her paper boy. They wed on November 23, 1959. After having two young boys, Joseph and John, they relocated to Stroudsburg Pennsylvania. Together, they successfully started a commercial development and construction corporation. They were both incredibly proud of the contributions this afforded them. Jean was deeply involved in politics and at one point was the Democratic chair of Monroe County. She was photographed and featured in the Pocono record several times due to the events that she would host not only through politics but other local organizations. Jean and John had their third child, their daughter Fayeann, at a time that started a focus on charitable endeavors. Jean was very proud of her over 30-year volunteer at Pocono Mountain Hospital. Her love of style parallelled her love of nature. Jean was an avid reader and a published poet herself. She conquered whatever she set her mind on. She is survived by her loving husband, John S Wiesmeth with whom she recently shared their 66th wedding anniversary. Surviving are her loving children Joseph Salvatore Wiesmeth Esq and his wife Patricia , Jonathan Dennis Wiesmeth and Fayeann Michelle Wiesmeth Kishel and her husband Dr. Jason Kishel. Surviving grandchildren are Joseph Wiesmeth, Abigail Wiesmeth and her partner Michael Delaney, Victoria Wiesmeth Marble and her husband Kevin Marble, Autumn J Kishel, Jacey L Kishel and Jason J Kishel.
Jean mentioned often that her happiest times were when she was raising her family.
