Jean Bythewood Obituary

Jean Taylor Bythewood, 98, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Monday, December 22, 2025, at her residence.

Jean was an elementary school teacher with the East Stroudsburg Area School District where she taught pre school and first grade. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stroudsburg.

Jean is survived by her daughters: Cheryl B. Mapp of West Cape May, NJ; Patricia Bythewood-Porter of Westfield, NJ and several dear friends.

There will be no services at this time. Private cremation has been entrusted to the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 N 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
