James Michael McGarry

James “Jim” Michael McGarry, 60, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania died Saturday, July 15, 2023, at his home.  He was the loving husband of Lisa (Griffin) McGarry with whom he shared 39 years of marriage.  Born in Hempstead, New York, he was the son of Joan (Damp) McGarry of Florida and the late James McGarry, Sr.

Jim was a strong-willed man but was quite the character.  His wit and made-up lyrics to songs would make anyone laugh.  He enjoyed being able to just hang out especially with a cold beer in hand.  More than anything, Jim appreciated time with his family.  The summer family vacations to the shore and boating are cherished memories for everyone.

Along with his wife and mother, Jim is survived by his son; Tyler McGarry and his fiancé, Nikki Geromanos; daughters: Katherine McGarry, Kayla McGarry Fox and her husband, Michael; sisters: Lisa McGarry Miller and Heather McGarry.

There will be a funeral service on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home, Inc., 23 North 9th Street, Stroudsburg, PA, 18360.  A viewing will take place from 12:00 pm until the time of service.
