James E. Fairbanks III

   James "Jim" E. Fairbanks III, 57 of East Stroudsburg, Pa. passed away on Tuesday Nov. 22, 2022. He was the loving husband of Teresa (Nitti) Fairbanks with whom he has celebrated 27 years of marriage. Born in Queens, New York he was the son of James E. and Irena (Vileniskis) Fairbanks II.

  Jim was a resident of the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 22 years and prior to that he resided in the Staten Island and Queens, New York areas. Jim graduated from the Turner Institute and then he started his career as a licensed New York City operating engineer at Rockefeller Center in New York City.  He was member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Stroudsburg, Pa.

  In addition to his wife Teresa, he is survived by 3 sons: John Fairbanks of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., Christopher Fairbanks of Kunkletown, Pa. and Kyle Fairbanks also of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., 2 grandsons: Giovanni Fairbanks and Dawson Fairbanks and his siblings: John Willis Fairbanks and Neola Fairbanks. Jim was preceded in death by a son James Wyatt Fairbanks.

    A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday Nov. 28, 2022, at 2:00pm at St. Matthews Catholic Church 200 Brodhead Ave. E. Stroudsburg, Pa. with Fr. Michael Quinnan as celebrant. The family will receive friends on Monday Nov. 28, 2022, from 12:00noon until 1:30pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360 Cremation will follow the services.
