James C.Meegan, 79 passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Lehigh Valley Cedar Crest Hospice, on Monday April 26, 2021. Jim was a resident of Shawnee-on-Delaware, PA for 47 years. He had a successful welding business, J. Meegan Welding for over 50 years. Jim’s welding talents were well known. He was a passionate outdoorsman. Jim could be found boating, fishing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, snowmobiling tending his flowerbeds, and caring for his animals. He was most content enjoying his home on Shawnee Mountain. Jim’s family was very important to him. He was a proud father and grandfather who enjoyed watching his family grow and become successful. Jim was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He was married to Patricia A. Meegan for 47 years who preceded Jim in death. He is survived by a daughter Jo Anne Corrigan and husband Thomas (preceded), Son John Meegan and wife Peggy,Son Donald Meegan and wife Kathy, Dauther Jo Elizabeth Parkes and husband Michael, and Daughter Terri Labreque. Grandchildren are Nicholas, Allison, and Benjamin Parkes, and Amanda Meegan. Jim is survived by a twin brother Gerald Meegan S. S. D. B. Jim is also survived by his devoted friend and companion Linda Ortense. Jim is a Life Member of the Shawnee Volunteer Fire Department. Jim worked very hard and enjoyed having fun with his family and friends. His excitement for life was shared with those around him. Jim lived each day to the fullest and made it his Masterpiece.
