Isabelle A. McMahon, 85, of Bartonsville, Pennsylvania passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Stroudsburg with her family by her side. She was the widow of Edward F. McMahon, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marion Paradise.
Isabelle had resided in the Bartonsville area for 26 years and prior to that in Palm Harbor, Florida. She was a homemaker who also ran her own interior design business. She was of the Catholic faith and an active member of Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville and its “Our Lady’s Guild.” For several years, she volunteered at the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Poconos in Stroudsburg, counseling young mothers.
Isabelle is survived by her brother: Tony Paradise; two sons: Scott McMahon (Margie); Glenn McMahon; three granddaughters: Morgan Simpson; Bailey McMahon; and Jordan McMahon. Isabelle is also survived by her brother-in-law, Joseph McMahon.
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Victory Church in Tannersville at a later date.
