Gerri L. Papillon

Born and raised in Stroudsburg Pa she was the daughter of Marvin (Buz) Papillon and Patsy Ann Papillon (nee Hartman); Loving and devoted Mother of Alexis Wellech-Papillon; Rescue Mom to Maggie Mae, Princess, Bentley, Esmerelda and Shania and predeceased by many others waiting at the rainbow bridge for her; Guiding light to her clan of children, AJ Thayer, Morgan Bergey, Tyler Bailey, Brianna Weaver, Nikki Weaver, Kristen Weaver and Jessica Andrew; She leaves behind many beloved cousins and family members.

Gerri is the founder of Camp Papillon Animal Shelter and  has served as its’  President  since its inception as a foster based rescue. Gerri also served on the board of LGBTQPride helping bring much needed resources to the Poconos.

Her loving and caring heart has saved thousands of animals over the years. Gerri always took the time  to take kids under her wings and made them feel that they matter, always putting others before herself. Honest as the day is long you never had to wonder what she was thinking.

She was a visionary and her vision and dreams will carry on. Gerri left the world a better place than she found it. She will be missed more than she could have ever known.
